South African Federation for Livestock Auctioneers
The South African Federation of Livestock Auctioneers (SAFLA) is a federation for livestock auctioneers and conducts its affairs according to its constitution. SAFLA represents all the major livestock auctioneers in South Africa as well as a number of small and medium enterprises (SMEs) SAFLA members are regulated by law and Livestock Auctioneers must register with the Agricultural Produce Agents Council (APAC) in terms of the Agricultural Produce Agents Act, 1992 (Act No. 12 of 1992). The Council is appointed by the Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries and its purpose is to regulate Fresh Produce Agents, Livestock Agents and Export Agents.
